Mud, Sweat, and Gears

Overnight Program
|
AGES 9-11

Get ready to dive into the dirt and take your mountain biking to the next level with Mud, Sweat, and Gears. This four-day, action-packed adventure is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who are eager to challenge themselves and have a blast along the way. Throughout the camp, you’ll fine-tune your skills with hands-on workshops and then put those skills to the test on a variety of scenic, challenging singletrack. Whether it’s powering up climbs, perfecting your cornering technique, or picking the ideal line through technical terrain, you’ll be pushing your abilities and growing as a rider each day.

This program features a double overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday, giving riders extra time to explore backcountry terrain and enjoy classic camp moments under starry skies. Evenings will include campfires, s’mores, storytelling, and the unique camaraderie that comes from spending nights outside with your crew.

Expect to get muddy, work up a serious sweat, and experience the thrill of both uphill endurance and fast, flowy descents. With diverse terrain and plenty of adventure, you’ll gain the confidence and skills to take your biking to new heights.

*Students are required to provide their own bikes and helmets for this program.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
