Overnight Program

AGES 10-12

Jump into the excitement of this new Telluride Academy program that takes participants on an adventure in both the mountains AND the desert! We’ll spend the first part of the week testing our climbing skills at a local crag in the picturesque Telluride Valley, followed by a rewarding hike in the nearby mountains. The excitement continues as we transition to the mesmerizing desert landscape for the second half of the week. We’ll rock climb at the Atomic Energy Crag in Paradox and explore beautiful red rock trails by foot. We’ll even camp under the stars to fully experience the unique climates and ecosystems of the southwest. This program is the perfect blend for those who love the jagged peaks of the San Juan Mountains and the sandstone cliffs of the high desert!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
