Overnight Program

AGES 6-8

NEW in 2023, this program was designed by a group of long-time Telluride Academy teen students! This is an exciting week of all-girls programming, meant to provide our younger students with a little guidance from their teen role-models on all things “TA.” In this “Big Buddy, Little Buddy” camp, older students will teach young girls to rock climb, paddleboard, hike and explore nature… all through the power of having fun! Under the guidance of our fully-trained instructors, we’ll pair students up with peer “buddies” and spend a full week bonding and having fun with our new pals. We’ll even spend a night under the stars, indulging in camp cuisine and telling stories around the fire. At the end of the week, we’ll have a pizza party to reflect on all the new things we learned and to celebrate our newfound friendships!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
