AGES 10-12

Welcome to our all NEW Telluride Academy program, “Artful AI”! With a unique blend of tech and outdoor exploration, students will have the opportunity to unravel the mysteries of what AI is and what it isn’t, by delving into how AI learns from data and investigating whether machines can be creative. With a hands-on approach, students will harness computer vision and exciting new tools like Google’s Teachable Machine to control robots, compose music, produce stunning digital drawings and paintings, and develop interactive visualizations. Beyond the digital world, they’ll also connect with the natural world by participating in traditional TA activities like hiking and bouldering. Through “Artful AI,” young adventurers experience the best of both worlds—embracing technology and the great outdoors for an unforgettable week of learning and exploration.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
