Ready to take on one of the Western Slope’s most iconic peaks? Join us for an unforgettable week of adventure, teamwork, and mountain magic as we set our sights on Lone Cone, a striking 12,614-foot summit rising above the Western Slope.
We begin in Telluride with a fun-filled day of introductions and team-building activities. This is our chance to get to know each other, set goals, and prepare for the challenge ahead. On Tuesday, we’ll pack up and head west to our campsite near Norwood for a two-night backcountry adventure.
Wednesday is summit day. As we climb, we’ll traverse the impressive glacial moraine at the mountain’s base before making the final push to the top. The Lone Cone trail is a 4.5-mile round trip with about 2,000 feet of elevation gain, offering big views and an even bigger sense of reward. After a well-earned victory photo, we’ll celebrate back at camp with stories, s’mores, and stargazing beneath the wide-open sky.
On Thursday, we’ll break camp, return to Telluride, and reflect on a journey filled with laughter, courage, and accomplishment. Whether this is your first big mountain or your next great adventure, Lone Coners will leave you feeling on top of the world.
A detailed daily itinerary will be provided to you on the Monday morning of the program.
