Saddle Stars

Overnight Program
|
AGES 8-10

Yeehaw! Get ready to ride into an unforgettable Western adventure! This week, our young cowpokes will head to the beautiful Circle K Ranch near Rico, Colorado, where the mountains meet the open range.

We’ll spend the week learning all about horses, from brushing and feeding to equine therapy, to saddling up and hitting the trail like real ranch hands. You’ll bond with the horses, ride through meadows and along rivers, and discover what life on the ranch is really like.

And the best part? We’ll spend two nights camping out at the ranch — Tuesday and Wednesday — under starry skies, sharing stories, songs, and s’mores by the fire.

When we’re not in the saddle, we’ll splash in the river, explore the wide-open spaces, and enjoy good ol’ ranch fun with friends new and old.

So dust off your boots, grab your sense of adventure, and join us for a week filled with horses, campfires, and wide-open wonder. The West is calling, and it’s time to ride with the Saddle Stars!

*All participants must have cowboy boots (or shoes that protect the ankles and toes) and jeans to work with the horses.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
