My First Camp

Overnight Program
|
AGES 5-7

Ready for your little one’s first big adventure? Welcome to My First Camp!

This fun-filled program is the perfect introduction to outdoor exploration for young adventurers and their families. Campers and families will dive into the excitement of wilderness activities, including rock climbing, boating, and nature exploration, all while gaining confidence in the great outdoors.

The highlight of the week? A magical overnight campout that brings parents into the adventure! Families will join us at an easy-to-access campsite for games, a campfire cookout, and plenty of gooey s’mores. Spend the night under the stars in cozy tents (provided by Telluride Academy, if needed) and wake up to fresh mountain air and a hearty breakfast.

My First Camp is more than just an outdoor program—it’s a chance to create unforgettable family memories and introduce your child to the joys of camping in a safe and supportive environment. Let the adventure begin!

*IMPORTANT NOTE: This session ends mid-morning on the final day. Students will return home with their parent(s) after the campout.

*At least one parent or guardian must attend the overnight portion of this program.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
