Overnight Program

AGES 12-14

Do you aspire to be a strong, skilled and efficient rock climber? Do you dream of epic rock-climbing adventures with your closest friends? If so, you’re in luck! This new program takes you to a beautiful and unknown corner of Colorado known as “Unaweep Canyon.” Here, you will learn everything you need to know to have a fun and safe climbing experience. You’ll learn different knots, types of holds, climbing and belaying techniques and how to follow a route. Whether you are a novice climber or already a crusher, this program will offer ample opportunity to improve and perfect your rock and rope skills! When you aren’t climbing, you’ll be spending time camping under starry night skies and telling jokes around the campfire. This exciting program is sure to be one for the books!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
