Rimrock Riders: Saddle a,bup for a week of connection, adventure, and horses!

Rimrock Riders invites campers to a meaningful and memorable week of horsemanship, teamwork, and outdoor adventure. The experience begins with fun icebreakers and team-building activities that help the group connect before visiting Grace Reins, where campers discover the power of equine therapy and learn what makes horses such incredible partners.

Once the group is packed and prepared, the adventure continues in Mancos at the beautiful Rimrock Outfitters property. Campers enjoy an introductory ride to get comfortable in the saddle, settle into camp, and soak in the peaceful ranch setting. With growing confidence and new friendships, the group then gears up for the highlight of the week: a full-day trail ride through spectacular Rocky Mountain landscapes, including the breathtaking Golconda overlook.

The journey wraps up with a celebratory stop at Nighthorse Lake, where campers can cool off with a swim, enjoy lunch by the water, and reflect on everything they’ve experienced—connection, courage, outdoor skills, and the unforgettable bond that forms between humans and horses.

If you’re excited to learn, play, ride, and explore in the spirit of the West, Rimrock Riders is your next great adventure!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
