In Wild Ways, a thrilling partnership with the San Juan Mountain Association, campers will explore the fascinating dynamics of predator-prey relationships in ecosystems around the world. Throughout the week, students will uncover the incredible adaptations that help predators hunt and allow prey to evade capture. Highlights include exciting hunting and camouflage games and a special visit to the Wolfwood Refuge near Durango, where campers will get an up-close look at wolves and other predators. Throughout the week, students will participate in hands-on activities to investigate food chains, food webs, and the critical roles these interactions play in nature. This immersive experience provides campers with a rare opportunity to meet some of the region’s most awe-inspiring predators. With a perfect blend of adventure, education, and wildlife encounters, Predators and Prey fosters a love for the natural world and a deeper understanding of its delicate balance.
