“Peak Picassos” is designed to ignite the creative spark in young minds through the fusion of artistic expression and outdoor exploration. This unique adventure combines exciting outdoor activities with hands-on art projects. Set against the backdrop of scenic mountain landscapes, participants will embark on magical hikes, nature walks and exploratory outings to inspire their artistic visions. From capturing the vibrant hues of alpine meadows to translating the majesty of towering peaks onto canvas, “Peak Picassos” encourages students to unleash their creativity in the great San Juans. On Thursday, we’ll host an art show for our friends and family to showcase our creative masterpieces. Students will leave this program with a profound appreciation for the relationship between art and nature. This is the perfect summer adventure for budding artists and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
