Overnight Program

AGES 5-7

My First Camp says it all: This program has the fun and adventures of Academy’s Explorers program, with an introduction to wilderness exploration, rock climbing and boating… but adds an easy overnight! Parent(s) are invited to team up with their little adventurers for a campfire cookout and an overnight in tents! Parent(s) will meet us at an easy-to-access campout location for games, dinner, s’mores and a night spent under the stars. Let the Academy help create a unique and memorable experience that is sure to last a lifetime. Families should use their own sleeping bags and sleeping pads and tents can be provided by Telluride Academy. After breakfast the next morning, parents and students will head home together with great mountain memories.

*IMPORANT NOTE: This session ends-mid morning on the final day. Students will return home with parent(s) after the camp out.*

*At least one parent or guardian must attend the overnight portion of this program.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
