Educate, Enlighten & Engage with the Mountainfilm Festival! This unique student program is an immersive and powerful opportunity to participate in one of Telluride’s longest-running festivals! As a student judge, you will join a community of students from places near and far for four days of film viewing, critical debates, filmmaker Q&As and the eventual selection of the 2024 Student Choice Award! This prestigious award holds high esteem for a filmmaker and even comes with a cash prize! Participants will receive a festival pass, reserved seating at selected films daily, and participate in discussions with the filmmakers and subjects. Meet special guests, go to battle for your favorite film, and leave feeling inspired! Never has vivid storytelling, engaging issues, and exposure to fearless leaders been more vital to us all!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
