What do you call a fake noodle? An “Im-pasta!” Get ready to burst into laughter during a week filled with joke-telling, stand-up comedy, and hilarious improv! This Academy program is designed to have you laughing uncontrollably, learning stand-up sequences, testing your improv skills, and embracing the silliness in the San Juans! Throughout the week, we will be joined by specialists from The Fig, a local Telluride collective of comedic performing artists. Miranda Beck, the founder of The Fig, and Mary Higgins, a professional actress and improv artist, will bring their unique talents to this program, aiming to help our students summon all the humor and hilarity they can grasp. When we’re not honing our stage debut skills, we’ll be adventuring outdoors and camping beneath the stars. On the final day, we’ll showcase our newfound talents in an epic stand-up comedy and improv show for family and friends, leaving this week as pro pranksters!
