Do you love mixing, bubbling, and experimenting with wild creations? Get ready to dive into the world of science with Kitchen Chemists, where the Pinhead Institute brings hands-on experiments to life! From cool culinary concoctions to fizzing potions and surprising chemical reactions, this camp is all about getting messy and having a blast!

Design your very own lab coat, gear up with goggles, and step into our kitchen laboratory for an exciting mix of science and edible delights. But the fun doesn’t stop there—when we’re not cooking up experiments, we’ll be building forts in the woods, exploring nature, and racing handmade creek boats down the river.

It’s science, creativity, and adventure all rolled into one unforgettable experience. Join us for a week of messy, magical fun!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
