Cosmic Creators

Day Program
|
AGES 6-8

Step into Cosmic Creators, where curiosity and creativity collide among the stars! During this week-long interstellar adventure, campers will dive into the wonders of space, discovering stars, planets, and the age-old question: Are we alone out there? If aliens do exist, what might they look like? How do they talk? What kinds of homes, foods, or bizarre cosmic pets might they have?

To spark imagination and fuel discovery, we’ll journey inside an inflatable planetarium for an immersive tour of the night sky and team up with the brilliant minds at the Pinhead Institute for hands-on space science exploration.

Alongside these cosmic quests, campers will also enjoy classic outdoor activities such as art projects inspired by the natural world, stand-up paddleboarding or boating, rock climbing, and a short hike to connect their space-themed creativity with real-life adventure.

Campers will dream up their own galaxies, design brand-new planets, invent alien species and languages, and tell epic stories from the farthest reaches of imagination. From stellar science to out-of-this-world silliness, this camp is all about building your own universe and having a cosmic blast along the way.

A detailed daily itinerary will be provided to you on the Monday morning of the program.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
