Mountains are what brought the first prospectors to Telluride in the 19th century, and they are what keep people coming back in the 21st century! Our Climbing Miners camp will explore the inner depths and uppermost reaches of this area’s famous ranges. From Telluride to Ouray, students will learn about the area’s geology, explore mines built over a century ago, pan for gold and eat meals made famous by Colorado miners! Participants will also get to build their climbing skills through bouldering, top-roping, slacklining and knot-tying. Get to know the San Juan mountains inside and out during our Climbing Miners program!
