Overnight Program

AGES 6-8

Can you hear the call of the WILD? Generation Wild, a Colorado-based organization aimed to get more kids outside, shares the belief that “Some of the best discoveries kids make outside are about themselves.” Spending time outside is invaluable to a child’s growth and ability to be creative, think on their feet and adapt. As part of Generation Wild’s mission, they have created a list of “100 Things To Do Before You’re 12.” This Academy program will focus on getting kids outside and checking off as many things on this list as humanly possible! We’ll chase butterflies, collect bugs, go rock climbing, tell ghost stories around the campfire, roast marshmallows and look for shooting stars. Join us on this exciting adventure to explore the outdoors and learn new things about the world and ourselves!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
