After-School ProgramS

ROCK CLIMBING

After-school climbing is back! Join us at the climbing wall (located in Telluride Intermediate School) for some bouldering and top-roping fun! Every week during this introductory climbing program, students will cover basic indoor climbing skills, such as terminology and communication, route completion, hold type identification, body movement, figure eight knot tying and belaying basics. Each afternoon will end with a fun game to help students hone in on their newly developed skills. When weather permits, we may even head outside to one of our favorite bouldering sites to experience natural rock and participate in science experiments about geology, balance, momentum and the physics of rock climbing.

Please send your child daily with plenty of snacks, a water bottle and closed-toed tennis shoes.
