Day Program

AGES 5-7

Embrace your inner animal in an epic journey through the pristine waters and massive alpine lakes of our region. We’ll start by transforming ourselves into our favorite wild creatures. We’ll make our own masks and learn to growl, howl and hiss as we become one with our inner animals. Once we are fully in character, we will take to the alpine seas on a wild boating adventure! We’ll band together as we SUP our way through the open waters of the San Juan mountains. We’ll learn paddle techniques to prepare us for future boating expeditions and play hilarious “board games” that will be sure to get us feeling adventurous. When we aren’t spending time on the water, we’ll search the meadows and forests for the real living things that dwell amongst us! SUP Safari is a sure way to inspire our youngest paddlers for future expeditions and get us excited for a life full of wild water mania! ROARRRRRR!!!

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
