Peak Baggers Friday

Day Program
AGES 11-14

The Telluride valley is known for its majestic peaks and dramatic ridge lines. On this Friday adventure, students will gather with the goal of conquering one of the box canyon’s most iconic hikes. Through the Aspen groves, fields of wild flowers and over jagged ridges, students will push themselves to embrace all the wonders and challenges that come with high alpine travel. Uphill treks will be broken up with fun games and conversation, and there will be plenty of time taking in the scenery at the peak! It is not the mountains we conquer, but ourselves!

This is a Friday program.
Hours are scheduled 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. but will be dependent on weather forecast. We may start earlier or end earlier, depending on weather.

Telluride Academy's Overnight Policy

Our talented instructors work hard to combat student homesickness on overnight programs. For many students, this experience might be their first time camping or away from home! In the days leading up to the overnight(s), the instructors have positive conversations with the groups to get them excited and prepared for their overnight adventures. This dynamic gets interrupted when a student is picked up early from their overnight. For this reason, we can not accommodate early pick-ups, unless in the case of an emergency. If your child does not want to attend the overnight, or if you have prior commitments that require early pick-up accommodations, we ask that you consider choosing a day program instead. Please call our office with any questions or concerns.
