This Pinhead Institute partnership program gives students the opportunity to participate in traditional Telluride Academy activities while also learning about the special and unique flora of the San Juan Mountains region! Cultivate your green thumb in this fun and educational program in which students will learn all about “botany” – the science of plants! We’ll create nature journals, ID different types of local flora, dissect flowers, learn to draw from a professional botanical illustrator and participate in exciting nature hikes. When we aren’t filling our brains with environmental knowledge, we’ll be exploring the great outdoors and going on fantastic wilderness adventures!
