Embark on an exciting journey through history with our NEW Cultural Connections program. During this four-day program, we’ll engage in a series of hands-on archaeological activities at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center and Mesa Verde National Park.
Our week will start with some “teambuilding” activities and a program overview before we spend the afternoon with a hike in the mountains. On Tuesday pack up the van and head to Crow Canyon Archaeological Center’s campus for hands-on, interactive programming. Here on Crow Canyon’s 170-acre campus, our students will dive deep into ancestral culture and archeological science to learn about the complex interactions between people and their environments. Students will sleep in rustic cabins modeled after Navajo hogans and embrace sweeping views of gorgeous meadows and pinyon and juniper-covered hillsides. Wednesday, after a morning of workshops with Crow Canyon, we’ll venture to Mesa Verde National Park where we’ll spend an evening beneath the stars. On Thursday, we’ll finish our week by exploring ancient cliff dwellings and delving into the history of 26 different indigenous tribes. Cultural Connections offers a blend of education and adventure, providing a deeper understanding of the Four Corner’s cultural heritage.
